The administrative team was put in placed to assure that the business of PHBC will be consistent and all areas of church business are covered appropriately according to IRS/and or Governmental guidelines.
Christian Education Ministry
The PHBC Christian Education Department base it’s foundation on 2nd Timothy 2:15. The bible gives clear instruction on studying the word of God. PHBC has devoted teachers and ministers whom God has ordained to impart and deposit the word of God into the life of the believer. All new converts and new members are encouraged to go through the “Search for Truth” series which is a pre-requisite required before working on any PHBC auxillary, once completion of the series has been obtained one can remain consistent by continuing in a variety of informative classes. Classes are taught every Sunday morning prior to Sunday worship. Classes are available for young and old alike.
Dance Ministry
A ministry of people that move rhythmically in dance to exalt, praise and promote the word of the most high God. It is a ministry that will uplift your soul and draw you into the presence of God, a place where yokes are broken, burdens are lifted an one is positioned to get a true break through from God.
Drama Ministry
The Drama ministry is adds creativity to the ministry. Plays, and other types of dramatic events (puppet shows etc.) are a large part of the drama team.
Man on Fire Ministries
The mission of the men’s ministry is to develop strong and faithful Christian men. The men’s ministry meet once monthly with a variety of subjects being taught. This ministry is designed to help men find their God ordained purpose.
PHBC Music Ministry
A ministry geared toward high praise and worship. It is a ministry that sets the atmosphere for the presence of God to come in and renew, restore, revive and refresh the spirit of the believer. The worship will pull down strongholds and destroy the tactics of the enemy.
PHBC Outreach Ministry
The purpose of the outreach ministry is to” reach the lost at any cost.” The PHBC outreach team currently devotes consistent quality service to several women’s and men’s shelters alike. The outreach’s goal is to help those who have been battered, neglected and abuse. The ministry encourages totally deliverance for those who are bound by drugs and alcohol. The ministry does personal one on one workshops, caters meals, and provides hair care and grooming to those who are sheltered. Transportation is provided to those who want to attend Sunday worship service , meals are served to all attendees immediately after Sunday services.
PHBC Youth /Young adult Dept.
PHBC youth department’s mission is to provide a safe loving and structured learning environment, an environment that is conducive to the
Word of God, (train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it, Proverbs 22:6). Our goal is to encourage youth to believe in and to have faith in the Lord Jesus, much time is spent encouraging young people to become self-
motivated, to gain self-esteem and to build character.
Pleasant Hill Productions
Oversees live production in audio, lighting and video for worship services. Technical Production include remote events that require setup and operation of AV systems on and off the campus of the church. The Communication aspect involves overseeing internal and external communications and distribution of advertising, public relations and printed publications.
S.W.A.P. (sisters with a purpose) Women’s Ministry
A ministry seeking to help women of all ages, colors, and economic status advance to a higher level in Christ. The ministry is one of deliverance and persistent excelling in all areas of life for the godly woman. Women are taught to expect more and not settle for less. This ministry has birth virtuous women who are now walking in their destiny.
Seasoned Saints
A ministry that adheres to the needs of PHBC elderly congregants. This ministry focuses on the limited social status amongst our “senior seasoned saints”. PHBC institutes in-home bible studies which rotates amongst the homes of the elderly. This ministry includes social outings etc. that are of interest to our older saints. Transportation is provided and the needs of the elderly are anticipated and met by the church body.
Three - Fold Cord Marriage Ministry
The institution of marriage was intended by God to be a lifelong relationship between a man and a woman, regardless of trials, sickness, financial reverses or emotional stresses that may ensue. God has ordained the “Threefold Cord Marriage Ministry” to enforce and to reinforce the sanctity of marriage. Our focus of study covers the many facets and issues regarding family and marriage relationships, including, but not limited to putting God in the center of marriage, love and intimacy, deliverance in marriage, and parenting children.
Travailing intercessory Prayer Ministry
The intercessory prayer ministry was established due to the covering that is needed over PHBC ministry and over those who are a part of the ministry. Travailing intercessory ministry is not a typical prayer meeting. The main purpose of the intercessory prayer ministry is to teach the saints of God to have a consistent and powerful prayer life. Prayer workshops/seminars is a part of the intercessory ministry. The prayer ministry meets every other Wednesday for one hour. The word of God is utilized over every prayer request. This ministry is responsible for diligent and persistent warfare prayer.
Tutorial Learning Center (new)
The tutorial learning center will be instituted in 2006. The center will be opened to the community on a first come first served basis. ESL (English as a second Language) will be a focus of learning along with adult literacy. The program will be in place to help those who can not function fully because of lack of academic training.
Usher Board/Hospitality
The mission of the ushers and hospitality committee is based upon the scriptural teaching of things being done “decently and in order” in the house of God. (both natural and spiritual ). The usher/hospitality members are in place to ensure “readiness” in the body of PHBC. It is the continual organization of these committees that enables one to leave PHBC with the impression of having been in the presence of God.
