The Joshua-Mephibosheth center opened on 4/2/06.  The center was birthed out of the need to supply sufficient care to parents during Sunday worship service. The two-fold name is based on the scriptural characters of  Joshua who was strong and very courageous, he followed God and diligently sought the “Book of  the Law”.  Because of  Joshua’s commitment to God, God made him to prosper and gave him good success.

The other character Mephibosheth was the son of  Johnathan, King  Saul’s son.  According to 2 Samuel chapter 9 when Saul and  Johnathan were killed the nurse of Johnathan’s son (Mephibosheth) tried to escape with him and inadvertently dropped him, and he became lame or crippled.

The center caters to those who are physically or mentally challenged those who one may say have been dropped, and are now facing various challenges.  The center utilizes on-call nursing for safety so that parents of special needs children can feel at ease during  Worship service.

Surveillance cameras are added as well for the safety of  staff  and children alike. Our church has committed to training our young ones at an early age.  We are obligated to trained  those with the spirit of  Joshua, and the obligation extends to those who many may see as being those who were  “dropped”.
